ohhh….something interesting : my competitor has almost 100.000 listings. i have the opportunity to grow half as big in the next 1-2 years. Should i worry about the system or GD can easily handle that ?
Can the demo content creator be “hacked” to create a directory of sooo big to test the site AND server ? 🙂

CPT cat shortcode did the job 😉 got a full page just for this…will need to add all the categories on the final version ( won’t be a quick job )
Guust: i already had help with css to the script option but these are option that would be much better to be built in from default. im not trying to say feedback based on my needs only. these are improvements to an overall feeling and usability for buyers with less coding knowladge AND less questions on the forum 🙂
btw i have owned or had the option to run my own test on most of the available WP directory themes available currently. personally i bought 5-6 +GD membership.
-vantage,superlist,directory,dir.engine,sabai,dir.press and tested everything else.GD as plugin system is mainly my fav. i have a small directory with a few thousand visitor a month but the new one is built with GD and it should be able to serve 10x a month when it becomes known.
it just needs the little extra styling for the main GDF. speed wise it’s ok anyway. my current site has 92% on gtmetrix. also have to say the support/replys are faaar more responsive here then on other places.
thought it’s best to share a bit of background info what i do in my spare time 😀 lol

i had to reinstall everything as it was a test site. What should be the correct code to add to style.css please ? i got all the other snipets for the script tab in gd settings just need to hide the categories off the map now (and make a note of it 😉 )

what can i do about the map categories list to hide it ? can you please assist on that too ? OR what do i need to change to make it hidden by default.

im just not sure why the child theme doesnt use the same technique for the listing cards as the main GDF theme.
the map categories on the other had is suggested to have an option built in for the widget to disable the categories on mobile or all together. not sure why the code not working :/
i got a Z1 compact and it doesnt work :/ categories list is still visible and the listings are in one line…not sure why.
thx. added it to the end of style.css but nothing happened :/
