Hey! I got it!! I restored the website back to the original backups I had and then ONLY change the wp-options table for home and site url. Good to go now!!! Thanks for your prompt response 🙂
Thank you for the help, I am going to restore my site with the backups I have but I want to be sure I don’t break the plugin again when I update the URLs, is there anything I should avoid when I go to update again?
Ok, so after I do a backup restore, this search and replace will help update the domain urls without breaking the geodirectory plugin? Is there anything I need to avoid, such as updating the guid or anything else?
Would it be possible to go into the MyPHP admin and update the ‘guid’ to the old domain?
Yes it has caused issues with this plugin. I have tried to use the Better Search Replace plugin and now my website is completely down and I cannot access the admin section of the website. Do you have any other suggestions, I am going to go into my cPanel and deactivate this plugin and try to revive my site.
Thanks.
No, I went into myPHP admin and used strings to replace all instances of the old domain with the new. The website is live, http://www.Fairbury.com, but the links to any places have disappeared, if you find a place there are no images and the link is fairbury.com/business-name instead of fairbury.com/businesses/business-name … if you navigate to the correct URL the picture and information is there but no map.
Do you suggest I still use the Search and Replace plugin?
Thank you
