It appears that after I disabled the geodirectory plugin and then reactivated the plugin that the date field is now working the way it should. So maybe it was just a server glitch.
Thanks!
Thanks I figured out the autozoom.
On a separate note, is there any way to get the map to center the markers?

The markers are all down at the bottom.
My guess is it is because of the default location.
But if I change the lat/longitude in the default location, will it change this? Rochester would still be the city.
It is a date picker field I added to the Place Settings > Custom Fields.
When editing a place in the back end, if I select a date, it enters the day before the selected date. Obviously I can easily make it use the right date by selecting the next day, but that’s odd.
The site is here, but the oddness occurs when editing from the admin area. I’m not allowing any editing or adding to the directory from the front-end.
Awesome! That’s what I was missing! Thanks. Loving GD so far!
Thank you! These answers helped a lot.
I’m still very confused because I do not see individual categories or listings to drag into the menu from Appearance >> Menus.
