Yes, you would be right. It is the other way around though. Karabar is the older listing and it has an upgrade link while Redwood, the more recent listing, does not.
Karabar does not show the package options in the ordinary “edit” view but only if I choose “upgrade” from the single listing view on the front end. (just like the business listings). Is this how it is designed to work then?
How do I get the packages to show on all listings? I may change them from time to time but want them to show universally once changed.
Ok, that should work out well.
To recap: when I have published the main listing with associated franchise listings for illustration/marketing purposes, I can then set the main listing back to draft if they buy the full year and then issue the invoice. If paid, that will then set the main listing to published and all franchise listings will now be under the claimant automatically + I can upload more listings as agreed from time to time by csv.
To issue the invoice, I set only the main listing to draft for invoicing. Uploaded franchise listings will stay published until 30 free trial expiry or else be claimed by main listing paying invoice.
Thanks, it starts to look like a promising product.
Thanks, Kiran and Guust,
I take that to mean that branches are claimed automatically when parent listing is claimed- provided I’m sure, that the claimant picks a package that at least matches the number of branches.
I would like to limit the number of price packages though.
Can the invoicing system accommodate custom invoices: e.g if I talk to a client – can I then strike a deal and create a custom invoice for only that listing and their branches (where I upload and activate it all from the backend as agreed with a client? If so – how will renewal work?
Thanks
LiseThank you so much for getting everything up an running again.
The code I uploaded to the functions.php was for the Franchise plugin and the site was running for at least a day before I had this problem. Hoping I’m not going to do whatever I did again but will use code snippets – it can usually save me from inconsistent code uploads.
Cheers
LiseI understand. Thanks, I think it will be a good improvement to highlight the other branches that may be within the interested user’s range of possible locations they can attend for a service.
Cheers,
LiseHi again,
Sorry, not the location filter but the option to filter by “Nearest” like I can for Related Listings. That gives the nearest result regardless of how far away it still may be.
Screenshot of dashboard attached.
That would work well for Franchises as well I reckon.
Ok, thanks. Workes well now. I’m so pleased it was something easy and not my fiddling with the functions.php
Sorry, assumed it worked like the related listing location filter where it will just show whichever is the closer. Let’s say that’s how I would like it to work. Most people will have a striking distance of several suburbs when picking certain services depending on not only where they live but where they work, where kids go to school and other services they access.
This reply has been marked as private.Tab is enabled and the tab is showing for the school CPT and is also showing for the Business CPT for my example listing just not for the shop HQ listing.
That’s ok then. Those steps are working really well.
I only have one issue now.
I have fixed all those headings and all looking well except the tab is not showing up on all Franchise listings:
I made an example listing and added a branch office example listing and I get the tab and the link and everything. All good.
Then I have entered a real head office listing with a shop branch office listing but I do not get a tab on those listings. Not even the wrong tab – just no tab?? Down the sidebar, I still get the option to add branch office or go to main listing etc. – just no tab.
Not sure how this got anything at all to do with my filters since it works on the example listing of the same CPT and everything works just fine for schools.
Hi, I attached a screenshot. I mean where it says “Manage Franchise” in the add listing dashboard. I want it to say “Manage School Campuses” or “Manage Branch Locations” and so on for those fields to match the tabs and links on the front end.
Hi again,
The error seems to be fixed. Believe it was from schema app. Thanks for responding and Happy Christmas.
Thanks,
LiseThis reply has been marked as private.Hi,
Thank you so much for this. I really appreciate the support and I think it will be a good addition to the product you have.
I’m not sure why, but the ribbons would only work once I put the code into the snippets editor?? I can plainly see that it had already been added by ftp in my files. Is that something I need to worry about?
If there is any way to get a space between words, that would make it more appealing.
Cheers,
LiseHappy days! It’s up and working again. Thanks Kiran
Cheers
