The custom colors and the menus that I set up in Directory Starter are lost when I activate the child theme. Are there some instructions I can add to style.css or functions.php to automagically recreate the work I did in customizer using Directory Starter?

It’s not a huge job to redo the customizing, but I will be doing this with several sites so it would be great if I didn’t have to.

Thanks, Giri. Of course, WP upgraded right after you made the edit so I will need to create a child theme sooner rather than later. I haven’t touched the code, myself – not sure what’s going on. I appreciate your help!

I am having another issue with the DS theme. After upgrading my hosting account, I was required to repair my database and I now have the footer menu showing up in my copyright area. I have cleared the cache and disabled GD Booster. Yeost SEO has been deactivated for weeks, so that shouldn’t be the problem this time. Any suggestions?

Hi Giri, thanks for fixing the color settings. There’s still an issue with the category icon and listing image buttons. They work when setting up a new category but when I try to edit them, the remove image button doesn’t work so I’m stuck with map pins I don’t want.
