OK, thanks you … found it, now. There was something weird with my .po file. Now I used the one you sent to create my de_DE version again, and now it works.
Thanks you,
kind regards,
TomHey guys – thanks for this discussion!!!
I’ve had the same problem – and after reading this found out that hosteurope sets “allow_url_fopen” to off as standard. But you can easily switch it on from the scripts settings … so now it should work.
Thanks again,

just FYI (… pr also for other readers): Loks like it wasn’t the whole performance pack plugin, but actually the dynmmic Image URLs / MaxCDN part of it.Cheers,

tss, now that’s weird because I also had it deactivated, earlier, and there was a post creates.
So let’s see if it’s just some weird coincitence – but at the moment I can only confirm what you say. There is no post created. So thank you very much for your effort – if that was the reason for the problems, then I would be ready now to really launch the GD functionality on the website.
Thanks a lot,

actually when gioing to the Wordfence settings, I just saw that the caching is currently not active. Maybe it did that when I deactivated it.
@stiofan: I checked tha database: Yes, the posts are there. Created by the user I created to test GD from the endusers perspective.
The login data I created earlier for you is still active, in case you want to login into the backend.
Thanks, Tom

sorry I have to open this bug again – it’s still there.
I just realized that when creating another test listing, in the moment I create the preview, an ampty wordpress post is created.
By now, I have changed to another “kind of” caching plugin. I’m using wordfence with it’s falcon engine. No W3 any more.
Trying to narrow it down to a plugin, I have deactivated one after the other, and each time created the preview. The result was always the same – an empty wordpress post was created. Which does give me the feeling that the bug is more on the GD side.
As there any way to log what happens? Doesn’t there have to be a source of the “order” to create the post? I do not want to switch to another theme for a test, currently, as I’m afraid to break things & we have quite a lot of visitors, currently.
Any idea would be appreciated 🙂
Thanks,

perfect, thanks you very much!!! 🙂hmm, it should be – it’s simply the page I end up on when I enter a search in the GD sidebar widget. But maybe it looks different by now because I changed a lot of looks & styles with the help of you & your colleagues.
I want to hide the big title “Search Results” on top of the page.
(And actually, if its not too much trouble, I would also like to hide the line “Search Pinnwandeintrag For : ‘ ‘“)
As you see, I’m aiming at a very minimalistic design 😉
Thanks,

Thanks,

Custom widget sound great – something new to learn.I do not understand what you mean with changing the CSS. The link that is behind the button has to be different for every user that is logged in – because the username is in the URL: http://www.sitename.com/author/username/?geodir_dashbord=true&stype=gd_place
So how can I get the username dynamically inserted into the link? Can I put soe kind of placeholder there?
Thanks,
