thanks for the quick answer. OK, maybe then I did not yet understand exactly what this setting does.
Yould you explain, please? If the listing is in two categories, cat1 and cat2. And I make the checkmark in cat1?What happens if the user does not set the checkmart, neither in cat1 nor in cat2?
Thanks for clarification,

OK, thanks you for trying … I will check & let you know if I can narrow it down more on W3. Weird … .
Thanks a lot,
TomHi Stiofan,
cool, thank you very much!

TomHi Stiofan, hi Paolo,
I did a little sketch of what would be important for me and attached it: The presentation when doing the custom search. “1 Star” and “2 Stars” being a subcategory of “Hostel”.
@stiofan: A link to my site does not help currently, because I removed all subcategories, so that I have just one level. The presentation on one level (of catgories AND subcategories) in the custom search form would be just too confusing.Of course, I would love to use subcategories, but only when they can be recognized as subcategory.
I hope my little drawing helps,
thanks for your help & warm regards,

Hi Guust,
for some reason, the
did not work. But after your note, I tried to use the

, and that now toes the job. Thank you. -
