I am having the same issue at my site. Only other plugin I have installed is the free Yoast. Otherwise everything is GD plugins.

Update: It seems to work when I disable Yoast. Any work around this so both GD and Yoast can work together?

Yes and every other word is translated fine. I cannot find the string “Photos” in the po-file at all.
Can you check if it is in there please?
