Did you change all the “place” labels from the post type? I can see when visiting “Place” the url is /directory, so you just need to edit the strings for the “Place”

You can try to play with it and see if errors come upHave you tried switching theme? That’s maybe why you lost the widgets.

Hello, according to your url (minnesota-1) it seems another “minnesota” has been created before.

Did you replace in the .po/.mo filenames the en_US part to your country code, so fr_FR if you’re using french (from France), etc…
Then move the files in the proper folder, under wp-content/languages and create the folder, geodirectory if you’re translating the core files.
If you still can’t see the translation, you can leave here your FTP details and we can assist you and address the issue.
PS- remember to erase the cache in your browser and to download any CACHE plugin
