Ok I’ll give that a shot, problem is I’m not 100% I know what you’re talking about. LOL.
And unfortunately that doesn’t address my other issues :/
So when is the new update going to be released? I can’t see any way of launching the website until all these issues are sorted out.
And for future reference, what can I do to ensure a smooth transition when updating the plugin? Guaranteed I will be a nervous wreck next time I update!
Oh I see what you’re saying. Is there any way to fix that in my WP back-end or do I have to wait for the next update?
Ok this is too strange… Because this is what I’m getting on my end.
That’s very odd. Previously I would get 404 on the events archive page, then when I reloaded it the page worked. I don’t know why it would be inconsistent like that?
I too just went in and applied the correct categories to the two events I posted (Freedom Fest and Porcfest). I still am not seeing them come back up on the front end.
Im wondering if just exporting everything and re-importing it on a fresh install would be the best way to go at this point???
Ok I updated all the add-ons but nothing has changed. In fact, now when I select “events” from the search drop down or from the “View All” link on the latest events widget on the home page it tells me there are no listings found. At least before it was showing the dummy content events on the archive page. Yikes!
This reply has been marked as private. This reply has been marked as private.John – Is that the standard WP settings page you are referring to, or one of the GD settings pages? I have been fiddling with the site for hours trying to get it back to normal. I think I’ve been through just about every page in the back end to check settings… but to no avail.
I did customize the CSS prior to updating, but it was in the “quick code” section of GDF Options. I did not lose any of that css during the update.
I have not yet tried switching from the child to the core theme. I suppose it’s worth a shot.
The url was provided in my original post above. It is dev.liberty.menu.
I did not, until your reply. But it did not have any effect.
Any luck with this yet Vikas? As mentioned it only appears to happen when including a video in the listing (which will happen a lot on this site.)
I’ve run into the same problem. My site will be promoting a lot of multi-day festivals and conferences. I think I know what websitu is getting at.
When listing an event there would be a setting that would allow you to show the event in the category/search results as:
1. A single day event.
2. A multi-day event, showing only one category/search result listing for all days (the first day).
3. A multi-day event, showing a category/search result listing for each day.For options 2 and 3 you may need to still allow all days of the event in the event calendar.
That would be great if the GD team could create something like that. I’ll still need to find a short term solution though, because it is really not ideal to have a separate result for each day of an event.
Thanks Vikas,
For anyone else who may want to do this go to GDF Options > Quick Code > and put this in the CSS:
.map-places-listing { display: none; } .map_category { display: none; } .trigger { display: none; } .triggermap { display: none; }
That would be great if you could develop that Stiofan! I tried to implement the map styling myself through the map.js file but had no luck. Java Script is not my thing.
How many people would we need to have request it to justify development?
And thanks for the +1 dragonflyca.
Hi Vikas,
I attempted to add a listing on the demo site and succeeded. I attempted on our install and failed, as mentioned above. I attempted again but with no code in the video section (I had YouTube embed code there in other attempts) and it succeeded. That is where I am right now. I’ve only tested with 1 listing.
