Hi @justjim,
That is the sample child theme that comes with Avada. You need to download the version i made, from your downloads area.
Regards.
Could you please supply url and login details via a private reply so i can take a look.
If you can supply ftp details too, i will be able to fix this for you.
Hi @justjim – could you confirm for me that the version number of your update is 1.1?
Also is this happening just with events or with places too?
If you add a private reply with your url and login details (if different to the login you gave before) i will take a look for you to see why this is happening.
Regards
JohnPaolo has fixed the download – please can you download it again.
Sorry for any inconvenience
Hi Jim,
I think there is a problem with the file in the downloads area, i will ask Paolo to take a look…
Hi,
Ok, i have re-worked the functions so that the title bar now appears on locations pages – you can see an example here:
http://dropct.com/enfold/location/united-kingdom/glasgow-city/glasgow/Is this what you wanted?
@justjim
I have now re-worked the functions of Avada to give a more consistent layout, which also fixes your problem. The title & breadcrumb now appear in the top bar for all detail listings aswell as archive listings.
This fix will be available to download shortly.Hi,
This is an unexpected side-effect of being the author of the post(place/event)The title bar should not appear on any place or event pages – just the archives (listings).
I will remove this function from the next update.
Hi there,
1) Thanks – i will add that to the next version
2) There is no point to a breadcrumb on the home page, as you can’t go any further back. I didn’t add a bar to the location page because i thought it looked better being the same design as the home page, with the map at the top.
3) I will ask Vikas as i wasn’t aware of this issue
4) I suspect this is a container having overflow:hidden; somewhere…but i’ll need to have a good look around as it’s not immediately obvious – i’ll update you soon…Hi, thanks for letting me know. Just out of interest, which stack are you planning on using?
Hi,
Did you set the map width to 100% in the GD Home Top Section?Hi j007w,
There was no map in the “GD Home Top Sidebar” widget – so i dragged one in. Your main WP settings were also set to show a static page as your homepage, so i changed that to show latest posts.
The GD Home Top Widget area’s content is all shown in the slider-container div as part of the integration between Avada and GD – this allows the map to stretch to fill your screen (as long as it is set to 100% inside the map widget of course)Hi,
I will switch our demo into list mode and troubleshoot it for you.
In the meantime, Avada has settings for the width of the content & sidebar areas – it’s under the Sidebar section in theme options.
Hi there,
I have set your site to show latest posts on front page in Settings > Reading and added the map widget to the GD Home Top Sidebar area. 🙂
It’s a setting in the map widget which is in GD Home Top Section. The map has a default size, so put 100% in there to override it 🙂
