Awesome!!
This worked perfectly, thanks so much for your help 🙂If anyone else has the same issue, I was also able to increase the size of the Close Cross as follows:
.main_map_wrapper .gm-style button.gm-ui-hover-effect > img {
background-color: #ccc !important;
height: 22px !important;
width: 22px !important;
}Thanks!!

Thanks!
I managed to have Featured first if a User just inserts a category and no location by changing the default, thanks for that tip. As mentioned for our main category accommodation this obviously is not going to work as people will always put a location.To make this work for location as well, we unfortunately have to customize…
Perhaps a code you would want to consider for V2 so Featured actually works in searches 🙂October 24, 2018 at 5:25 am in reply to: Change colour of Special Offer Tab and Featured Ribbon #451049Hi Alex,
Thanks so much, this worked!!!

Hi Guust,
Thanks for your reply.
With all due respect, Featured then does not exist in GD and the current “Featured” option is completely useless and misleading and should not be advertised as such.
The whole point of a directory is so that customers can search for their chosen category and location so they quickly get to a result.
You are basically telling me that Featured does not work in GD as nobody will look for listings in the widgets!
We are planning on having 2500 accommodation listings, how would you suggest to make “Featured” work with widgets?Most directories I have used as a customer have Featured listings and they always appear first in the search result and that is the whole point of being Featured.
I have done another search now and choose places and dog friendly accommodation, not even a location and not even then are the Featured listing first but rather appear in the order of when they were created.
The “Featured” listing appeared almost last.How is the order of creation any relevant to the visitor’s search query????
So clearly GD prioritises by date of creation in searches, so how can we change this to something actually meaningful?
How can we truly feature some listing at the top of the search result?
This is something companies are willing to pay for to be on the first page in search results, if we have no means of providing this then this will be a real problem for us.Any ideas on work arounds or similar to achieve a truly featured listing in search results?
Thanks very much for your help,
RafaelaOctober 22, 2018 at 10:47 pm in reply to: Change colour of Special Offer Tab and Featured Ribbon #450879I have tried a few variations of the following with 0 effect:
#special_offers{
background: #FAB138 !important;
}October 22, 2018 at 10:38 pm in reply to: Change colour of Special Offer Tab and Featured Ribbon #450877Hi Alex,
Thanks very much for your reply!
Sorry for the misunderstanding, I would like to colour the tab itself permanently orange.
The objective is that when customers are on the Profile tab, the Specials tab stands out and creates more of an action to click on the Specials.
Please find attached a mock-up of what I am after.I am familiar with how to style objects and also the Chrome developer tool but all the styling I am trying just does not have an effect which suggests I am styling the wrong object. I feel its got something to do with the fact that the Specials Tab is optional and only visible if there is GD data against it? You guys obviously wrote the logic on the Specials tab, whats the object ID for it?
Don’t worry about giving me the whole CSS but if you can just tell me the object ID that will solve this for me.Thanks very much,

Tried to style it but just can’t make it work, so not styling the right object or something..October 22, 2018 at 10:32 am in reply to: Change colour of Special Offer Tab and Featured Ribbon #450803This reply has been marked as private.October 22, 2018 at 9:38 am in reply to: Change colour of Special Offer Tab and Featured Ribbon #450799Hi Kor,

To change the colour of the ribbon for Featured listing I have tried:
.geodir_featured_img{background: #e9f9fc;}It does not work though?
The tip from https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/common-styling-examples/ to change the background of the actual listing worked a treat by the way 🙂This reply has been marked as private. -
