Right then another update –
The plugin mentioned above (WP User Avatar) is working everywhere – the wordpress logo, the ‘My Account’ logo, the individual avatar, so I think we can assume that it’s working fine and compatible.
So why is the Author page the only area where it WON’T work?
Hello, what’s happening on this issue?
Why isn’t Author images working on the Author page?

Bit of an update –
I just uploaded five ‘dummy datas’ into my website and the profile pic kicked in.
However I still have the ‘mystery man’ logo on my Author Page.
Or is it indeed the Author Page at all?
To view the ‘mystery man’ logo thing, click onto the Nottingham Shine logo in the one remaining listing.
Sure – apart from in PremiumPress and Appthemes who insist on ripping your post down whenever an alternative is asked for…
Super, all good to go then.
You know what, this conversation would have taken 3-4 weeks at PremiumPress or Appthemes.
Excellent support all around!
Yes I know there is, which brings me back to the original question –
The possible problem I’m having is with the Homepage Title, which for aesthetic reasons needs to be a maximum of two/three words at the most.
Viewing the page source shows that the H1 class entry title is only picking up on the two/three words in the homepage title rather than my 50 or so letters of text originally used for the website title.
Will I have a problem with using a short two word title, or will everything be ok?
As Stiophan pointed out – the 50 character plus title of the homepage appears as the title, but the only visible h1 tag is the shortened version that appears as the big title text.
So if the title is the h1 tag, shouldn’t the h1 class entry title be changed to something different?
Thanks Stiophan – I’ll leave the admin credentials intact for him.
That was what I noticed too, and the only way around it at the moment is to put the whole title into the page heading, which makes it look a bit daft.

Thanks for the wonderful support!
And that would be by using a combination of FlexSider at https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-flexslider/ and Code Snippets plugin at https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/code-snippets/, yes?
Even so though – I can’t for the life of me see why Supreme Directory was excluded from having the image slider as opposed to all the other themes.
Hi,
The users have gone over with no problem, but getting the Appthemes ‘ad-listings’ to come over as Geocities ‘Places’ is a nightmare!
So it looks like I’m going to have to assign new ‘Places’ manually.
All of the supposed fields are nowhere to be seen, so manually looks like the only option.
