In the next post I’m sending you one of the most popular plugins for the purpose.
My thoughts about it are that an elegant solution would involve:
– to be seen in the back end:
1) Choosing a directory currency (you already do)
2) Choosing a default paypal currency (if default not supported)
3) choosing a conversion method – either a fixed rate or using google or yahoo
– for payment_providers:
4) Check if a paypal supported currency has been used
5) if yes, proceed to the current fashion
6) if not, make the conversion to a supported one and make a Fraud check according to the converted currency
One thing, that I’m sure of is that the above would make the payments plugin much more versatile
