Alex, Thank. I don’t understand why the “?listing_type=gd_carousels” at the end of the url.
Let me ask you if this will work.
1. I create a page called “Add Restaurants”
2. I add the shortcode “[gd_add_listing post_type=”gd_restaurant” show_login=”1″]” to this page.
3. I add the new page to the Menu “Add Restaurants”And same for Businesses and Accommodations.
or do I still need to add the “?listing_type=gd_restaurant” to the end of the url?

Guust, I was trying to set this up and I can’t figure something out as I don’t have an option for Packages in the Sorting Tab. You mentioned “Once you have added “Package” as an active sort option, you can sort listings by Packages.”
So my question is how do you add a Package as an active sorting option?

Alex, Thanks. Where would I add or edit this custom field in each CPT? Not exactly sure where to add this? Also will this custom field have a shortcode that I can place where needed?
Also, question on the Custom Fields.. Are they searchable? For example if I add a custom field for “Dog Friendly” will users be able to search for all Dog Friendly businesses?
I am really liking Badges but haven’t added one yet. In the example you shared above do you have any ideas that you can share about the type of Badge.. any suggestions as to Badge ideas?

So let me clarify. If I have fields specific to “Accommodations” I will NOT be able to have a unique “Add Accommodations” form and visa versa for “Restaurants” and “Businesses”
Also I am using multiple Custom Post Types and would like to add a custom form for each CPT. How do I add those additional “Add Listing Pages”?

Alex, thanks, do you have an example of a multiple word CPT filled out? how would you do the plural for example?
This reply has been marked as private.Thanks for posting this question Surender. I hope you don’t mind me posting here. Alex you replied “No, we recommend that you only add categories to which you plan to add listings.”
The problem is this… if you are trying to encourage new listings you don’t want users to be making up their own categories. So it is good to have the categories ready even if there are no listing in them.
So to have them available on the backend when adding a new Listing is helpful.. but not to be searchable and show No Results.
Should be an easy fix with the coding.. shouldn’t it?

Just so you know when I view more information in the GeoDirectory extensions for GeoTravel and GeoBold it says for both they were last updated 2 years ago.

Can you confirm that the Genesis Child Themes “Geo Travel” and “Geo Bold” are compatible with GD V2? they are showing V1 so just wanted to confirm.
I am guessing that Geo 1280 is V2 Compatible, is that correct?
