It seems ok. We will add many places so I will tell you if there is something wrong.

if i understand well, the client keep doing as usual when adding places (the countries are displayed in french in the gd places editor).
The only things to take care is to not set countries names in other language than english when we import a csv file right ? So I will be the only the manage Import / export at the moment. Then once everything is ok I will tell the client how to proceed.

About ISO country names, you mean we have to set “FR” for “France” into the csv file country column (for updating places and or locations) ? “france” or “Spain” is good too right ?

I need to change some authors (post_author column). I just export place file, change author ID then import it (with update post setting enabled). Countries will be ok right ?

An each time a user create a place the location country is generated in english too. So the location is duplicated and I have to merge it manually. Impossible soon…

hum, seems to be again a translation file issue, works well when I disable it. You should delete the french geodirectory core translation file from your server. Many strings causes issues.
