So why did Guust tell me that I can do it in Whoop options?!?
Well that’s understandable if it slows the website down but if I’m being honest I doubt that I’m the first user to ask about re-positioning the logo in header area… or any other feature in the header area. I think that is something so basic that it should be something for users to be able to do easily. It’s bread and butter. If there is special code needed to do it, might I suggest putting it on a “useful code” section of the website for everybody to see? thanks
Well that might well be true, but being transparent and honest with customers about what something can and can’t do is sound business sense. Just because every other business in the market works like that doesn’t make it right. If you did allow that functionality to be easier for customers to do then that would actually separate you from the rest and make you better! That is basic business! I sincerely hope that you are not taking my critique personally because businesses that listen to and support their customers are liked more. I’m making this as a suggestion because me along with other users don’t have any knowledge of code and if we are to be told that we are wrong when we make a suggestion or give our opinion about what we like and don’t like, that makes me as the customer feel unsupported and unappreciated.
Yeah of course i’ve seen that mate and I have a reddish kind of colour selected but as you can see I don’t have any buttons displayed – see attached image. What do you suggest? thanks
I’m using a custom menu
But how do I make buttons, please could you give a richer explanation?
Hi Guust,
OK thanks for your reply. But I think that the things I’m asking for – merely moving the logo on the header from right to left – is a very basic thing which should be featured as part of the “as are”. People use WordPress because they don’t know how to code and people buy plugins like GeoDirectory because it allows them to build a website with minimal knowledge of code. Other website builders such as Wix or Weebly do the same thing but they’re advertised as web builders and the support they provide is very good an comprehensive. So if I’m paying a similar price for GeoDirectory I’d expect a similar level of support. Having said that, the support here on the forums i do think is usually very good and replies are within a reasonable time frame. I appreciate that you are providing me with coding help but for me at the moment that really is out of my knowledge base and I don’t have the time to learn code. I do feel that at times Guust your responses are a little vague or brief and they would benefit from a little more clarity, nonetheless I appreciate your help 🙂
I can only reiterate that I think being able to move the logo around or any item for that matter in the header should be part of the “as are”.
ThanksThis reply has been marked as private.Hi,
I want it on the left not the right. I tried changing the CSS to left instead of right but it’s still in the same space…
Hi again,
is there any way that I can move the logo into the far left corner of the page?
So I just add that code you posted into the CSS sheet in the appearance editor? I wasn’t sure if I could just post it on any line?
I’ve messed about with it but not a clue what i’m doing. The menu is in row now rather than continous lines so if you could put that back to normal too. thanks
