Update:
I can get the location switcher to load my listings on the home page map without problems only when I click cancel to the request to geolocate me. I still want to be able to be geolocated when users go on the home page but it shouldn’t be asking users if they want to be geolocated when they switch location, is there anything that can be done about this?
Also, if you select ‘city’ instead of region it often says it cannot find the city you search for when it should do. This is a problem for me and if you’re able to fix that it would be great.
thanksHi Stiofan,
still not working. It’s also not just Madrid it happens for other cities too. Is there anything else you could try?
I’ve also noticed another problem. If you go to one of my blog posts for example,
https://www.eluniversodelingles.com/aprendeingleslasacademiasintercambio/
It asks if you want to be geolocated and if you click OK it takes you back to the homepage and thus takes the user away from that blog post. Is there any way to change this without still being able to ask if users want to be geolocated?
thanksHi again,
yes I have listings in Madrid. Under two different custom post types.
Hi Stiofan,
the problem seems to be solved for ‘near me’ but the problem of changing location and then getting the ‘no results error’ on the map is still an issue.
If you try to change the location at the top to for example, ‘Madrid’, the box comes up asking if you want to be geolocated to listings near you. It works if you perform a search in the near box and type Madrid but not if you change your location to a different city at the top of the home page.

Right OK, that’s useful information. My website before was getting hacked and Site ground told me to install all that stuff on it

This reply has been marked as private.OK, fantastic
Is this something which can be changed with customisation? This along with some other tweaks that i’ve posted in the job forum are important to me, however it’s been nearly 2 weeks and nobody has responded to my job. thanks
Hi again,
I have but as I was saying before it takes you to the top of the page when it refreshes and that’s not the position of where the Gmap is so what ends up happening is users click it and are just left being confused with where it has taken them and/or they don’t know what has happened after clicking it.
Hi Guust,
I know that and this I think is the limitation. If the “Near Me” button isn’t where your map is users are not taken to where the map is which isn’t user friendly.

thanks for your reply and advice. I’m not sure what code to put into my stylesheet for any of those things, however.
