Ok, got it. I know it’s a free plugin, I just don’t want to install any plugins, that I’m not going to use. At least for now.
Thank you.
So it won’t break any code or DB tables if I don’t install it? I just want to make sure.
I will, sorry about that guys and thank you.
This snippet ads links to the dashboard, but I rather meant the Supreme directory specific “My Account” area, please see the attached screenshot. It would be most intuitive to have those links up there rather than on “my dashboard”
Maybe there is a way to modify it so that it works for Favorites and Listings as well?
I’ve found something in this thread here https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/my-account-functionality/
add_action('sd_my_account_logged_in_extras', 'sd_my_account_logged_in_extras'); function sd_my_account_logged_in_extras() { ?> <ul class="sd-my-account-dd-menu-group sd-my-account-dd-menu-bp-group"> <li class="sd-my-account-dd-menu-link"> <a href="#"> <i class="fa fa-user"></i> Link1 </a> </li> <li class="sd-my-account-dd-menu-link"> <a href="#"> <i class="fa fa-user"></i> Link2 </a> </li> </ul> <?php }
It’s a good option to add a link, but not exactly “My Favourites” or “My listings” since every user has his different urls for this.
Hi Giri, no I don’t use it, is there a way to do it without BP?
Hi Stiofan, thanks you. Yes they look blurry, but pages load much faster.
I’ve noticed that I also have thumbnails 768px wide, is there a way to use them instead of small ones?
I agree, lazy loading defenitely helps, and this is what i use right now, but it is still doesn’t help with image thumbnails being too heavy.
It just gives a poor experience to people with low bandwidht or bad reception. Some of the pages when fully loaded weight up to 5mb which is 5 times more than it should be for optimal performance. And it’s all because of the thumbnails.
It would be a really important improvement if you could take this into account for future releases. I suppose there is nothing that could be done about it right now. Please correct me if I’m wrong.
Thanks.
The problem is, that in such themes as Supreme Directory, featured image is quite big. On my site it’s as wide as 1400 pixels, because otherwise it just looks bad. So for Supreme it doesn’t make any sense to use the same full size image on thumbnails.
Hi Kor,
If we talk about the page that you mentioned, then I was referring to the thumbnails which are in the “Latest Places” sidebar.
Is there a way to fix it?
Thanks Kor,
When I choose the “upload listing no image” it adds the new image as a listing thumbnail, but it doesn’t make it a featured image for new listing. This way in Supreme directory there is a default image visible not the one I chose here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#listings
Thanks a lot Guust,
Is it safe to include LOCATION CATEGORIES into the sitemap performance-wise?
I’ve read a post somewhere on this forum that it caused the site to go down when it had to generate too many variations (category + location).
Thanks.
BTW, where I can find release notes for the new Supreme and Directory starter theme updates to keep track of what’s changing?
