Let me make sure we are talking about the same thing. In version 1 there was a widget that would display neighborhood links within the city pages.
    See bottom of this page:

Are you saying this has to be done manually in version 2 using the location description ?

I went ahead and added the categories to the main search bar. This is not an ideal solution since I cannot hide the categories not used in a particular area. Hope the developers will be able to add a “more” button later. I will probably also add them to the menu.

Not sure if I should add a separate thread for this. Is there any way to make location description html instead of text ?

I get an error when I activate payment manager as well.

Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home/ronmenu/menudev.usmenuguide.com/wp-content/plugins/geodir_payment_manager/includes/core-functions.php on line 716

    Using Geodirectory geodirectory-2.0.0.45
    Payment Manager geodir_payment_manager-2.5.0.6

So I can go ahead and block that ?

What is the best practice for that ? Should I do it through a plug-in ?

    Thanks

    On the search issue.

I do see that I can add text fields to the advance search option and I like the way it is presented. However, I would be using html fields and they do not have an option to add to advance search. My problem is that I need some basic formatting on the restaurant menus we are adding. Headings in bold and maybe some text color options. Is there a better way of setting this up ?

    Thanks

    Hi Vikas

You still don’t understand my question. Yes, setting up cities and neighborhoods is easy. No problems doing that. However, in geotheme there is a text field that can be provided to each city and neighborhood individually. I use that field for additional navigation (links) and neighborhood descriptions on my geotheme site. http://www.nolapage.com .

This is controlled by a widget called PT-Home Location Description. It looks like this is not available on geodirectory.
