Hi. I am having the same issue on another one of my sites that uses GeoDirectory and the code you gave me doesn’t work anymore. I am running a newer version of GeoDirectory on the site so that might be the reason?

OK. I was looking for a solution where the user could filter the results by city but I guess that is not the case.
If that’s the case then I think I misunderstood what the function is doing. Here is a photoshop image of what I was hoping to achieve.
This reply has been marked as private.Sorry. I had all the other add-ons disabled in order to troubleshoot a different issue (https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/x-theme-compatibility/). The shortcode works now but all it diaplays is the city as text. Maybe I misunderstood but I was hoping to have the select box to choose which city is displayed similar to the one from [geodir_location_tab_switcher autoredirect=”1″]. I just don’t want the user to be able to change the country and region.

I deactivated all my plugins except for the Shortcodes and Visual Composer plugin that come packaged with X but when I activate GeoDirectories it adds this meta tag in my header:
<meta name=”description” content=”[vc_row border="none" bg_color="#9f2518" inner_container="true" class="white-text vr-featured" padding_top="20px" padding_bottom="20px" no_margin="true"][vc_col” /><meta name=”keywords” content=”family fun, events, sports, recreation, family, food, sports and recreation, things to do, arts, culture, family events, red deer, special events, centennial, christmas, festival, music, agriculture, attraction, attractions” />
If I deactivate GeoDirectories the meta tag is gone so it is not a issue with the Shortcodes or Visual Composer plugin. Please test. Thanks.
i’ve added both the shortcodes to my sidebar [geodir_location_tab_switcher autoredirect=”1″] and [gd_curr_location] but i only see the location switcher with country/region/city even after i select a location from the location switcher.
When will the update be available?
Sorry – I’m confused. So basically their isn’t a way to just show the city?
