Once again, thank you. This information is much clearer. I appreciate it 🙂
We spoke to our web programmer yesterday to see how we can work with adding the code for alphabetizing. Unfortunately, as I understand it, adding this code to our site isn’t really a practicality, given that having this code adds a level of complexity and work on their end (testing, updating, maintaining as we change site, etc.), and because of the platform used for all their sites maintained like ours, this code would become part of the system/codes for the other sites as well. The programmers essentially won’t add this for us, as the cost for doing so wouldn’t make sense for them, ultimately us. Their suggestion was to have us request that Geodirectory considering modifying their program to offer the option to alphabetize and display categories via widgets, in ways as the listings/places are available to be displayed.
All that being said, our programmers and we have found ways to use some of the features of your program to accomplish what we want. The GEOdirectory is an amazing program, but probably too much for what we actually need Hopefully, over time, as we add listings and such, we’ll be able to tap into it’s real potential 🙂

We are trying to sort the order of the categories alphabetically. This cannot be that difficult, but no where can I find how to do this. If you look at the attached photo, where it shows “Resource Center Categories”, the categories are listed in reverse alphabetical order. I don’t know why, as they were not added in this order, not looked at in popularity in this order, etc… (This Resource Center Categories” was the Popular Categories (we just changed the name).
If we can’t change the order of what was popular categories, we need to have the categories of the various firms shown here some how (we don’t care about the popularity of the places/companies – we just want the categories listed alphabetically.
