This is what showed up in my email O'Grady
I tried that and it worked for list and search screens 🙂
… but not in the map icon 🙁

I then used Alt+0145 and this has worked in all places
So thanks for getting me looking in the right place

It was as you said – there was some ‘rogue code’ in the Genesis Simple Hooks plugin, we removed this and now it is ok.

I have found the answer – after struggling for a couple of days (not full time!) before finally posting this question!

GeoDirectory / MulitLocations / Manage Location
and then deleting all locations that included Devon

Going back and creating a new Place in devon created correct URL
