What happened was this …….

I added stripe payments add on before i added the payments manager add on and the stripe payment addon broke the database. We removed stripe add then site worked fine. We then added payments manager the re added stripe and all worked well.

Just in case someone does the same thing, might be an idea (unless it already does somewhere) say to install payments manager first…
