Kindly check your documentation. I am attaching a screenshot and marked an arrow on it.
After clearing the cache it just works! Thanks, Alex for your precious suggestion.
I think GeoDirectory does not search in Parent Category.
Okay, let me try to explain once again. With a clear example:
In my country India, there is a state called is Madhya Pradesh. Jabalpur and Indore are cities of this state.
Please visit at https://destinations.softinator.com/destinations/
Here, let us put values in “Near” field and click on the search button.
When I search for Madhya Pradesh I get four results here:
When I search “Jabalpur” in the location field:
Jabalpur SearchWhile searching, GeoDirectory skipped an important result “MP Tourism”:
https://destinations.softinator.com/destins/mp-tourism/Although it is the state of this city. Means it is the parent destination (state authority) of this child destination (city authority).
Similarly, in every search of any Indian city, GeoDirectory is skipping the most important search result (Incredible India):
https://destinations.softinator.com/destins/incredible-india/I am wondering how to deal with such a scenario? What strategy should I take while creating categories? Or do you suggest anything else?
Great. It works now. What exactly you did?
This reply has been marked as private.Yes, obviously head office at New Delhi. But thing is that coverage of this destination would be the whole country.
Now after pointing the head office to New Delhi, I want to add another destination as “Mumbai”.
And I want that when anyone searches at “location” like India, he should get “Incredible India” and “Mumbai” as two search results. Is this even possible with GeoDirectory?Let us take a scenario. I want to add “Incredible India” as a Destination listing. Now, where should I place the address of this listing? This is an area, region, and country also.

I can insert write manually also outside of shortcodes.
Can you please also check compare shortcode? This also giving same problem. I have removed badge=”Compare Destinations” still no luck.
