This seems to be a generally misunderstood topic, let me explain what and why you need a consent checkbox for:
Consent is appropriate if you can offer people real choice and control over how you use their data, and want to build their trust and engagement. But if you cannot offer a genuine choice, consent is not appropriate. If you would still process the personal data without consent, asking for consent is misleading and inherently unfair.
In all cases for GD the intended legal basis is “Legitimate interests” not consent.
This is the case for two reasons:
1. If the user did not give consent then nothing would happen and no data would be processed, so there is no “genuine choice” therefor consent is not appropriate.
2. All the data entered is used “as reasonably expected” by the forms.If on the other hand you decided to capture all the email addresses entered in any GD form for your newsletter that WOULD require consent as it is not expected and the form would be able to be processed without it.

We have GDPR releases planned for tomorrow.
I’m not sure adding a marketing checkbox on the add listing field is the best idea, i would think that is best done at signup.

You must have some very very old versions installed?
The best thing for you to do is:
1. disable/remove WPEU for now.
2. update the pluigns via FTP or you can use this plugin to update via .zip file https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-theme-and-plugin-upgrades/
3. re-enable WPEU.Stiofan
I would not call it a big job but it is certainly a customisation, its not something i could whip up in a few minutes, but it could be done by a dev in a few hours.

When might legitimate interests be appropriate?
the individual should reasonably expect you to use their data in that way;
If a user fills our a contact form or a claim listing form, you have no choice but to process their data (or nothing would be possible) so the legal basis for processing can’t be “consent” and is likely to be “(f) Legitimate interests” by which the user should expect their details to be used in the manner the form suggests. Things would be totally different if you were using claim listing details to capture emails for marketing, but we don’t and if anyone intends to do that they would have to change the legal basis to consent.
