I don’t know if there is a solution and to be honest it’s not safe, it defeats the purpose of SSL.
ahh ok i get what you mean, the strip is initiated through SSL, if it can’t make a direct SSL connection it’s probably buggin out… ( i think also chrome won’t allow this by default either)

It’s your choice, we can provide them for free if you wish but we usually urge people to sell them for a small fee, this way the author is motivated to keep them up to date.

Yes i used them for years, i still actually have a VPS with them but i am in the process of moving to the other host i mentioned. Their live support good.

OK there are no server specs listed there, i would not go with this host IMO.
If you want to stay UK based managed hosting then i would recommend one of these, (even start cheapest and upgrades as needed) https://www.webhosting.uk.com/vps-hosting.phpIf you want to go dedicated i would not use them, but rather go with something like this http://www.hetzner.de/en/hosting/produkte_rootserver/ex40 and then pay for a cheap server management from somwhere else.

What is ur hosting spec at the moment, and where are u based? I would ditch w3 total cache, it will just cause problems…
