You can use any theme you want! We plan to build a bunch of themes to work with our GD plugin but you don’t ever have to use them 🙂

@sputnik, these things are due to classes that we have added with to core or the addon it’s self, we will be releasing a spate of updates over the next few days that will fix this.

The search widget problem needs the plugins to be updated, we had to add classes so we could style it properly for all cases, hopefully we will release those today or tomorrow.

@sputnik no not using Foundation 5 Framework, i started with bones template theme and combined it will redux options framework(developed by one of our members) but there are a lot of modifications to the bones theme.

The Near field only orders results closest to the area entered, nothing to do with the actual locations in the DB, s we plan to add AJAX search for that.

No, we plan to have the “Near” field search for location also.2. How can I fit the customize my search into the same row?
We have added classes to that plugin but you will need to wait probably until Monday for that release. (this is a beta at the moment, please report any issues and they will be fixed 🙂Stiofan
Further to the search error in the post above from manilaboy: if you just choose “pubs” instead of “places” from the search drop down menu, the search already starts without giving an option for further search.
It takes you to the pubs section to start serching, there is no pubs added to the site so it shows nothing, i think this is ok functionality, you you prefer it didn’t?And one other issue: if I add CSS to /GDF_Child/style.css none of it takes effect. Looking at the source of http://drinking.directory/ it looks like the theme is not calling the child theme’s stylesheet?
It is loading the framework’s stylesheet, rather than the child theme’s stylesheet which includes the framework’s stylesheet.
There does look to be a problem there, i will look at it, thanks.Stiofan
