I am using the Directory Starter theme with GD.
I am using the sidebar footer widgets but have not been able to figure out the “sidebar primary” widget. I also don’t see how it is used in the demo.Where does this widget appear and is there a trick to it?
Thanks
VictorHi again.
This appears to be an intermittent problem as I can sometimes now access the front end and back end of my website. In that case I would guess that it would relate to my web host?
Thanks
VictorThanks
VictorThanks.
I can try this. I do it in the style.css file in the theme directory?
Looks like maybe I could also do via a css plugin?

Could you please let me know how the footer text color is determined absent the modifications in the article at the link.

Hi Kor
Thanks for your message.I had not realized that the columns would not show up on tablets. Now that I know that I will just work with it the way you designed it.
Thanks
VictorHi Kor,
Thanks for your message. I now see the columns in the version in my web browser. I hadn’t tried it on a regular computer before.
I think the issue may be the way that it shows up on a iPad. In the iPad version, the second and third footers just go underneath the first footer horizontally and not in separate vertical columns.
I assumed that this is not something I have control over and is instead the way the mobile browser works with the theme?
Thanks

Am attaching second file referenced
Hi
It looks to me like the footers are stacked horizontally not separated vertically. I have attached a marked up version of the example at the referenced link and of my site.
It may just be that it isn’t possible using this theme to have vertically separated (or columns for) footers ? I imagine I could try to create columns using html?
Thanks
VictorHi
The footers show up as sidebar footers in the widget area which appears to make the footers just horizontal? Is there away to adjust so the footers are in columns?
Thanks
VictorThanks. Is there a way to use footers in column format or is that controlled by the theme which in this case doesn’t support it?
ThanksThanks. I think it may be just better to use one of the other themes. I will try that.
