I was thinking of a browser (or other type of ) notification that would let notify users (that opt in) when they are near one of the locations on my site.

More specifically, my site includes posts each of which has a historical audio recording that users can listen to. It would be useful if a notification could pop up that tells the user he is near one of these historical places and he/she should go to the appropriate post and listen to the audio.

Thanks for taking a look.

The near me widget has returned as an option and is present in my home page widget when I go to appearance-widgets.

I am now getting an error on my map on the home page which indicates that no records are found. The near me button also doesn’t display despite having reappeared on the widget page.

However, the search page appears to work and has a similar near me button.
