hmmm.. check this: https://iamyogi.com/plaats/
I’ve turned off the debugging possibility in GD Booster and it seems to run smoothly now…
We have it open now,
And I don’t know whether this is related to the caching or something else, or that it has a relation with https, but both on Safari as Firefox we get sometimes something that I would call an infinite loop-error.This happens only if a visitor allows to Send his/her location to our site, i think.
Does someone of you have an explanation for this?
Thanks,
I think everything is about normal now. I’ll wait until you release it officially, otherwise I might mess up more than I like.
We’ve opened it to the public now, by the way…;-)
Guust,
I’m sorry, but I’m getting really depressed by this. We have only 3 listings in ‘s gravenzande. So how could this lead to 6 places?
I’m going to delete every listing again. Including that place-info.The provincie is something very useful in our opinion, because its for many people a natural way of searching: yoga in Limburg. So I don’t want to skip that information, to be honest.
What is strange is that If you add a listing in the frontend the logic seems to be different. Maybe this is not correct, but my feeling tells me that that’s how another Amersfoort is being generated.
It is really un-understandable how so many places appear…
Exactly,
Ok, clear.
We are really abusing the translation-file for a lot of these things;-) Do you have knowledge/advices on any other possibilities for this? Thanks!
hmm… but why then let people select a result (those are automatically generated)? it would make sense to me that that result would appear on top.
It’s like walking in a store, asking for bread. Then the saleswomen asks to you: What kind of bread? Maybe croissants? You say yes. But instead that she gives it to you, she starts pointing on the wall where all kinds of breads are being presented. Then it’s up to you to say “stop” when her finger passes the croissants-section. Maybe it’s a strange comparisation, but I hope you understand what i mean.
The problem that we have is that we have a generic yoga-directory. So we expect people to use that word many many times.
Is it reasonably possible for us to change this OR into AND?
Guust,
I’m sorry that I keep you busy with this. Look at this(login posted above):first:
https://iamyogi.comThen select in CITY (plaats): Amersfoort.
This is the result…
https://iamyogi.com/plaats/netherlands/utrecht/amersfoort/Why aren’t there results presented? From my perspective it’s just a simple way for a users to narrow his search… But no results..?…
Thanks again!
1: Apologies…I think I made a mistake myself: The map shows exactly what’s on the page that’s being presented. If an enduser goes to the next listing-results-page the map changes as well. That makes sense, in some way. That was my confusion.
2: This stays like a black box for me. Trust me that I have never added a place called All, nor a province called All…;-). I’ll try again. Thanks!
Hi Stiofan,
it makes sense what you say, but nonetheless: I know that some e-commerce-solutions fix this with cookies (don’t know how exactly), just to prevent a user from having to filling it in again. That would be user-friendly for endusers.
I’ll try it again.
This is what faultpress returned to me: do you think it makes sense?
“Regarding your linking issue, can you go to the Settings > Permalinks page and click on “Save Changes” ? That will force the permalinks to rebuild and should solve your link issue.
I have looked up the restore logs from yesterday and it looks like the wp_geodir_ tables were imported successfully during the full restore, and during the SQL-only restore as well.
Have you tried deactivating and reactivating the wpgeodirectory plugin after the restore succeeded, but before importing the database manually?”
Thanks again for your wise words…;-)

After this whole affair i manually cleared everything: database, listings etc; but I don’t succeed in preventing that I get this irritating figure at the end of the url: https://iamyogi.com/leslocaties/nederland/noord-holland/amsterdam/yoga-kamala-2/
It’s because somewhere there is an old listing, I guess.
What would you recommend to delete…Thanks (again)
