404 add a new listing

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    Hi Guys,

    I updated the plugin and went back to the old version as everything was broken.

    Since I am back to the old version of GD, users can not add a new listing.
    The front page end up to a 404 page.

    Do you know how can I fix that?

    Hi,

    what do you mean everything was broken? We only provide support for the latest version of the plugin and it’s working fine for thousands of website.

    Please update the core plugin, all add-ons and if you have any troubles, let us know specifically what’s not working and we will help you fix that.

    Hi,

    the add-ons installed are from at least a couple of years ago. So old that it will be impossible now to auto update them.

    You will need to download each of them from here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/members/tombabwa/downloads/ and update them with either a plugin like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-theme-and-plugin-upgrades/ or via FTP.

    After you updated them all, go to GeoDirectory >> Auto Updates / Licensing and add each license keys that you find here too: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/members/tombabwa/downloads/

    After activating them, you’ll see auto updates notices for the add-ons too. It is fundamental that you always update both the core plugin and all the add-ons too.

    Hi Paolo,

    Many thanks, the website is back! I updated everything and it works better.

    My last issue now is than I can’t see all of the specific fields of my CPTs.
    The form to add a new place for instance is the original one without all of the specific fields I had before.

    Any way to fix this easily?

    Hi,

    try to go to GD > GD Tools and run the utility to clear all version numbers, that should be enough, if it isn’t, visit your CPT setttngs and try to save your custom fields again.
