    Hi, I want to make a few changes to my site but cannot see where to do this.

    1. Remove grey border from around the search bar

    2. Close the gaps between the sections, I have removed margins on beaver builder.

    3. The icons have a grey box background – want to remove this

    Hi Stuart Miles,

    Thanks for your post. What you needed there can be done via custom CSS code and here is an article for your reference https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/

    Thanks, I kind of figured this out.

    But I have an issue again, I made changes and they worked but they reverted some theme settings ( button colours ) back to the standard setting.

    I then changed them back in the theme settings and this then changed the CSS back to how it was previously. is there a basic error on my part or is this just too complex for someone with little coding knowledge?

    Thanks

    Hi Stuart,

    Thanks for your reply. Try using the custom CSS code below and see if it helps?

    .geodir-loc-bar-in {
        background: #fff;
    }

    .widget {
        margin: 10px;
    }

    span.gd-cptcat-cat-left {background:#fff!important;}

    Hi Stuart,

    This looks like a cache issue. Could you turn off your cache plugins or server cache while you work on your Website?

    Thanks!

    Hi, I have turned off cache in both browsers and I’m still seeing the same two different results in Firefox and Chrome.

    Any ideas?

    I took out that coding and now beaver builder is working again.

    Some kind of clash but I know that Chrome displays the change, Firefox refuses to!

    Hi Stuart Miles,

    Thanks for your reply. I’ve never heard anything about custom CSS interfering with a plugin. Well, anyway, could you keep the cache plugins turned off and share your Website WP admin access here in private reply so that I could check on it?

    I got it back working again, no idea why it glitched.

    I think the CSS was taking a long time to update the site and I was getting cache issues earlier which just confused me.

    So, it’s working now, I have it how I want it, nearly.

    Firefox is now displaying correctly too.

    Thank you for all your help, I am sure I will be back lol.
