Add City/Region to Search?

I have a site that is using CPTs. I’m placing links to them in the top navigation menu and not using the home map at all. For example there are two CPTs Places and Real Estate Listings and a visitor would decide they want to look for Real Estate Listings they would choose that from the Menu and a page opens up with a map and search functions. Using the Search widget I’m hiding the CTP selector dropdown and this works fine

However I need a way to add a region and/or city to the search. I’ve tried using the Location Switcher shortcode but it insists on reloading the page and brings up the home map which I don’t want to use. The Near field sort of works but don’t want to force visitors into having to type in the name of the area they want to search. I guess I could hide the near field and create some drop downs to populate it. But I want to check if there is a better way before I to that.
