Add Image on listing page, can video be added?

    I am looking to add the ability to add videos to my listings page. I can add an image but can not find how to allow videos to be added. Can someone help with this? When I was looking for the right solution for my site I was able too in my testing phase but starting over from scratch I seemed to have lost how I did it.

    Hi James Paige,

    You can just add the Youtube Video iframe into the textbox provided. For example, copy the video iframe from Youtube http://prntscr.com/bswb0b and paste it into the textbox. Example iframe code below. Let us know how it goes.

    right, I have a field for Youtube videos. I am looking to add upload ability just like the photos can.

    You can allow users to upload files using the custom fields. Check out this section of the documentation https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#file

    Yes, I have tried that. that gives a link so they would be able to download the video. if you look at the screen shot I attached, there is “Add Images” section but only allows for images, I would like to have videos added to that or replace it with a widget or something that can. that way when viewing the listing, on the tabs you can see the videos that were added. let me know if this makes sense to you or if I am not explaining it correctly. It looks like its a gallery of some sorts but there are no settings to change it.

    Hi,

    WordPress and GeoDirectory in general are not made to host videos.

    well during my testing phase to see what will work for what I am doing I was able too. not sure if it was some video gallery I used or a setting in GeoDirectories. I am just trying to get it back.

    the only way to upload a video on GD listings is via embed code.

    so there is no way in the code to change the add photo to be able to add video to the gallery that is displayed on the listing detail page?

    Hi,

    that is not possible.

    The listings detail page gallery is only for images, not videos.
