I want to attach images inside visual editor in Add Listing page like adding posts in wordpress backend.

    Is this possible?

Do you mean you want all your users to have access to your media files, and upload any image file direct to your site?
That may be considered a bit risky, and WP by default removes that possibility from any editor used on the frontend.

    Thanks

Also, the default WP image storage uses several rows in the database and it would not scale very well if every listing added images this way, that is why we use our own tables. However the first image added to a listing, using the image uploader is stored the normal WP way, so it can be used as a “post featured image”.

    Thanks

    Hi Guust,

Not really accessing the media files from front-end. It’s like a file upload where they can select image from there computer and automatically attached to the visual editor and at the same time saved to the media files of my site.

On the attached photo, it was done through html tag and not all users know how to do html that’s why I’m trying to implement an image uploader in the visual editor.

Do you think this is possible? Or do you have recommendation/suggestion or any third party plugin/addon that could help?

    Best,
    Derek

You can use external images by just entering the img tags, will that solve?

    Hi Stiofan,

That would work but not all users are knowledgeable to do that. I also want to host the images that will be attached so it wont disappear if the external images were removed from the original source.

There is no easy way to do it, you would have to edit a hard coded setting we have to remove it, then make the user an Author, and even then they will have access to anything u ever upload, zip files and docs included… Its a bad idea and not something we will implement.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan
