June 8, 2017 at 8:56 pm #382398hi Sir, I am using a single column layout. (Genesis theme, geo 1280)
 It looks like the add listing widget is default to the right side bar.
 How can I enable it on a different page? My home page link is attached below.
 thanks,Peter June 9, 2017 at 4:42 am #382421Hi Peter, May I know what do you mean by “enable it on a different page?“? You can probably create a new page and use shortcodes https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-shortcodes/#add-listing June 9, 2017 at 1:26 pm #382471hi Kor, thanks for the suggestions. I followed the instructions in the link above but it doesnt work. I created a new page and added the add-listing short-code. The page sends me back to the home page. Can you advise how I can fix it? thanks, Peter June 9, 2017 at 2:22 pm #382514Hi Peter, Please share WP temp admin access to your site so we can take a better look. You can post the details here using the private reply option below. May I know which CPT are you trying to add the “Add listing” shortcode? I’ve added [gd_add_listing listing_type=gd_college] on this page https://multiplyiq.com/gd-test/ and it seems to work June 13, 2017 at 4:13 pm #383018hi Kor, I was trying to use gd_event CPT. However, when I change it to gd_place, it seems to work but it allows adding an event rather than a place. How can I add a gd_place? Any suggestions? Please note gd_event is linked to gd_place. I am a little confused what is going on…
 thanks.Peter June 13, 2017 at 4:20 pm #383020Hi Peter, If that’s the case, please enable the CPT you are trying use under GD > Design > Navigation > Allow post type to add from frontend as shown in this screenshot http://prntscr.com/fjbl8c Thanks! June 13, 2017 at 4:39 pm #383026thanks Kor.
 It works now. However, I found another problem.
 I have 4 different CPTs (place – organization, event – activity, school, college);
 All add listing (irrespective of CPTs) are linking back to the event data structure.
 How can I fix that?June 13, 2017 at 5:15 pm #383035Hi, if you select the page from GeoDirectory >> Permalinks, you must not add the shortcode and vice versa. If you use the shortcode, you must create a page for each CPT, because in the shortcode you have: listing_type=gd_event Thanks June 13, 2017 at 5:25 pm #383038hi Paolo, I got the gist of it but I am still a bit lost.
 I need a create a new page (4 for each CPT). Then, how do I connect it back?
 Please note I am testing it from user dashboard.thanks, Peter June 13, 2017 at 5:32 pm #383039The best thing is that you use 1 page without shortcode and just select it as the add listing page from GeoDirectory > Permalinks. GeoDirectory will take care of the rest… You can add the links in your navigation like this: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#navigation Let us know, Thanks June 13, 2017 at 7:17 pm #383082hi Paolo, I am using the user dashboard as the only page to add listing. After I setup the blank page as you suggested above. it seems to work fine. thanks again for the response. Peter
