Add New Listing Form : Typing Region and City Names on mobile site

    I am testing my site on mobile.
    When filling out the Region and City fields, on desktop the site lets you type the region and city fields or select from dropdown menu.

    On mobile site, it only allow you to select from the options.
    How can users add a city or region by typing on mobile?

    I am using Safari.

    Start typing an address in the street address field, and let Google’s autocomplete do the work.

    A street address is compulsory for GD listings with addresses. If you choose to hide or delete the field, you will have to make any other adjustments to make GD work yourself.

    I understand. But this is really important, to be able to add a city that has not been added to the database. We do not need full address for our project.

    Let me know what options we have as to be able to input a new city .

    You can use the Street address field, and once the city and region is detected and set on the map, you can change the entry in the Street Address to whatever you like.

    The street address is required until the latitude and longitude are set, then it can be changed.

    Hello,

    there is a strategy mentioned by other users to get locations into GD

    Create a new CPT
    Create a UTF-8 CSV with listings for each location that you want in GD
    Import the listings

    Let us know how it works for you.
