Adding Sales Rep ID

    I am recruiting sales reps to present and sell PLACES for a deeply discounted monthly advertising rate. Each of the sales reps will be assigned a unique ID number so that each of the PLACES listings can be credited to the correct sales rep. How would I go about adding a field for use during registration which will be a required field and contain the unique sales rep ID number so that no one can register unless a sales rep has provided that business a qualified rep ID number?

    Secondarily, I will need to be able to find that unique ID field in the order screen in order to pay the appropriate sales rep each week based upon the totality of sales assigned to that sales rep ID.

    Hi,

    the 1st part is easy, you just need to add a numeric field in Place Settings and make it mandatory.

    The part would require a customization.

    Wouldn’t it be easier to use an affiliate system and coupons to handle this?

    I am not familiar with Affiliate system as it relates to my question. So I add a number field and make it required. I have not begun selling, but Where do I go to see all of the PLACES that are sold to date? Will that number field show up once it is added to the registration form?

    Do you know of any AFFILIATE plugin which plays well with GD? That solution would be outstanding if the affiliate plugin seamlessly functions with GD for purposes of capturing the activity on GD and displaying sales reporting, payment ledgers, sales by rep breakdowns, etc…

    You can check sold listings via the invoices tab of the Payment manager add-on. You’ll need to go into the edit screen of each listing to see the rep-id.

    We built an add-on that integrate GD with AffiliateWP. Your sales rep must register as affiliate and use their unique link to submit their listings.

    At that point you’ll have reports of who submitted and you can even assign a % to be paid as commission.

    Absolutely genius so far but you stopped short — did your team create a way to synch up with one of the transaction agents to disburse the % of sale to the sales reps one-360-solution.

    You’ve got the alliance with AffiliateWP and the transaction is assigned to the proper sales rep, and even the percentage of the sale can be designated but what of actually paying the sales rep one incidental step from absolute success… Is there such a way to complete that last step with a plugin that plays nice with GD? Someway for Paypal to retain that designated AllianceWP % earned and disburse to the sales rep?
