Hello guys, Vlad here from theBeautyAdviser.com.
It’s been almost 3 weeks now since the conversion to V2. I like this new version of GD so much!! You did an amazing job! Thank you for this!
Now, I found new issues after this conversion, that I want to ask your help with.
#1. On desktop, on both Safari & Chrome, when I click on the listing tabs buttons “Profil” “Harta” “Fotografii” “servicii” it does nothing. They work on mobile, but not on desktop. Try here
#2. In the GD Archive page there is a title starting with the word “All” followed by the category name example: “Saloane de Infrumusetare”. See link here . How can I remove the word All? It shows on all Archive pages and it wasn’t there in V1.
#3. How can I set blog page featured images? It currently shows the latest blog post featured image. See page here.
#4. On mobile version, the profile images of the users who claimed the listings, appear deformed. These are the only profile images that appear deformed on every claimed listing; the profile images of all the other users who leave a review, they are perfect. But these of the users who claimed the listings, on mobile, they are not ok. See example here – ONLY on mobile (on desktop is perfect).
#5. On some claimed listings, just under the profile image of the user (the owner who claimed the listing) the name of the user is followed by a number. See example (Simona-2) here. How can I set it to appear whithout a number?
#6. If I click an author’s name below his profile image on his claimed listing, it opens up a page where on the featured area it says the name of that user + the word “de profil”. See example here – click on the owner’s name right under his profile pic to see what I want to say. I want to remove those 2 words “de profil” (it’s the romanian translation for “Profile” but it has no meaning in this form)
#7. It seems that in V2, a user can write a review without rating stars. You can see this here on the first review that appears (from the user Alexandra), and I also made 3 tests last night with 3 different listings to see if this really is possible, and it seems it is. See screenshot ‘no rating stars’. On V1, the reviews were only possible along with stars rating; I want this back.
#8. On V1, whenever a new user registered and left a review for a listing, I used to get 2 email notifications; one for new user, and one for new review. It seems that now, on V2, I only receive notifications for new users. I want to be also notified whenever there’s a new review on a listing, just like in V1.
If you can find the time to help me with this it will mean a lot.
Thank you!
VladSeptember 19, 2019 at 1:45 pm #509178Hello,
Please allow me to start with your first 3 questions:
#1. On desktop, on both Safari & Chrome, when I click on the listing tabs buttons “Profil” “Harta” “Fotografii” “servicii” it does nothing. They work on mobile, but not on desktop. Try here
I cannot recreate this. When I click on them the tabs are revealed. Try clearing your cache. Are you on a mac?
#2. In the GD Archive page there is a title starting with the word “All” followed by the category name example: “Saloane de Infrumusetare”. See link here . How can I remove the word All? It shows on all Archive pages and it wasn’t there in V1.
That can be changed in the Titles and Metas settings in
GD – Settings – Titles and Metas
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/settings/general/#titles-and-meta#3. How can I set blog page featured images? It currently shows the latest blog post featured image. See page here.
You described it correctly. Supreme will use the featured image of the most recent post as the featured image header on the blog page. You can disable the featured area in the settings of the page in the backend editor.
September 19, 2019 at 1:47 pm #509180#4 appears to be a style issue related to the image source. I have flagged your topic for the developers to look into that issue.
September 19, 2019 at 8:17 pm #509260Hi Alex,
thank you for your reply! I’ll followup on your answers one at a time:
[Vlad]: Yes I am on a mac; i did clear my cache, still not working on desktop. It works fine on mobile, but not on desktop.
#2.[Vlad]: OK
#3.[Vlad]: OK, understood.
#4 appears to be a style issue related to the image source. I have flagged your topic for the developers to look into that issue.
[Vlad]: Great! I will wait for your developer’s answer.#5, #6, #7 and #8 – I’ll wait for your reply on them when you have the time.
Thanks a lot!
VladSeptember 21, 2019 at 6:51 am #509499#5. On some claimed listings, just under the profile image of the user (the owner who claimed the listing) the name of the user is followed by a number. See example (Simona-2) here. How can I set it to appear whithout a number?
This can be customized, here is an example : https://userswp.io/support/topic/display-name/#post-4516
That should be changed with translation. Find the string in the Supreme po file and replace it with a space or another character.
The developers will comment on this.
#8. On V1, whenever a new user registered and left a review for a listing, I used to get 2 email notifications; one for new user, and one for new review. It seems that now, on V2, I only receive notifications for new users. I want to be also notified whenever there’s a new review on a listing, just like in V1.
Reviews use the WordPress comment system. You can either customize or use a 3rd party plugin to receive more notifications about default WP actions.
What we do include is an email notification when a review needs moderation, in GD – Settings – Email – Admin emails – Moderate comment

#6. [Vlad]: Ok, understood.
#7. [Vlad]: I will wait for your developer’s answer.
#8. [Vlad]: Ok
ISUES LEFT:
#1 – You asked me if I’m on a mac, I said yes.
#4 and #7 – I’ll wait for your developer’s reply on them.Thanks a lot!
VladSeptember 21, 2019 at 7:00 pm #509549Hi Vlad Chirila,
#1: it seems ok at my end on both.
#4: please try this css in theme customiser.@media (max-width: 992px) { .sd .author-avatar, .sd .author-avatar img { height: 50px !important; width: 50px !important; } }
#7: seems weird issue. please share site details and FTP in private reply to check it further.
Thanks

September 25, 2019 at 2:25 pm #510177Hi Kiran,
I just checked; everything seems to work fine. Thank you so much! Regarding this, I want to ask you 3 questions:
1. is it possible that the error message (when someone tries to leave a review without the star rating) to appear with a red color and also to move that error text above the “publish review” button, in order to be visible and not to frustrate the users?
Now it is written in a dark color and it is hard to notice it – see screenshot attached.2. Is it ok to delete the test location you published on my website?
3. Will this patch that you applied modify with the feature updates of GD plugins?
Thanks,
VladSeptember 27, 2019 at 12:57 pm #510553Hi Vlad,
1. is it possible that the error message (when someone tries to leave a review without the star rating) to appear with a red color and also to move that error text above the “publish review” button, in order to be visible and not to frustrate the users?
Try following CSS snippet to apply red color to error message.
.comment-form .err-no-rating {
color: red;
}It is not possible at the moment to change order of the error message. It displayed near the element which has error.
—
2. Is it ok to delete the test location you published on my website?
Yes, sure.
—
3. Will this patch that you applied modify with the feature updates of GD plugins?
Fix is included in “Review Rating Manager” plugin so don’t worry about future updates.
Best Regards,
