Hi,
After updating geodirectory today, my emails are sending out with the <style> section visible, did something change in the back of geodirectory? Thanks

May 29, 2018 at 8:07 am #432539I’ll follow this message with an example complete html for our emails.
Basically for some reason that has only happened after the update, the following style from our emails is showing in the top of the emails, I’ve tested it elsewhere and it doesn’t show, I can’t figure out why its now displaying.
Thanks Stiofan.
/* .ExternalClass applies to Outlook.com (the artist formerly known as Hotmail) */ .ExternalClass { width: 100%; } .ExternalClass, .ExternalClass p, .ExternalClass span, .ExternalClass font, .ExternalClass td, .ExternalClass div { line-height: 100%; } #backgroundTable { margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100% !important; line-height: 100% !important; } /* Buttons */ .button a { display: inline-block; text-decoration: none; -webkit-text-size-adjust: none; text-align: center; } .button a div { text-align: center !important; } /* Outlook First */ body.outlook p { display: inline !important; } /* Media Queries */ @media only screen and (max-width: 500px) { table[class="body"] img { height: auto !important; width: 100% !important; } table[class="body"] img.fullwidth { max-width: 100% !important; } table[class="body"] center { min-width: 0 !important; } table[class="body"] .container { width: 95% !important; } table[class="body"] .row { width: 100% !important; display: block !important; } table[class="body"] .wrapper { display: block !important; padding-right: 0 !important; } table[class="body"] .columns, table[class="body"] .column { table-layout: fixed !important; float: none !important; width: 100% !important; padding-right: 0px !important; padding-left: 0px !important; display: block !important; } table[class="body"] .wrapper.first .columns, table[class="body"] .wrapper.first .column { display: table !important; } table[class="body"] table.columns td, table[class="body"] table.column td, .col { width: 100% !important; } table[class="body"] table.columns td.expander { width: 1px !important; } table[class="body"] .right-text-pad, table[class="body"] .text-pad-right { padding-left: 10px !important; } table[class="body"] .left-text-pad, table[class="body"] .text-pad-left { padding-right: 10px !important; } table[class="body"] .hide-for-small, table[class="body"] .show-for-desktop { display: none !important; } table[class="body"] .show-for-small, table[class="body"] .hide-for-desktop { display: inherit !important; } .mixed-two-up .col { width: 100% !important; } } @media screen and (max-width: 500px) { div[class="col"] { width: 100% !important; } } @media screen and (min-width: 501px) { table[class="container"] { width: 500px !important; } }

Are you using any html email customization? Please provide us admin credentials so we can take a look.

May 29, 2018 at 10:42 am #432564I believe so.
I’ve attached two pictures one is how it used to look and the 2nd is how its now showing. (ignore the ref, i’ve covered a name)
I’ve also noticed it’s added spaces between the table rows.I’ll follow this with admin credentials.

Thanks for providing credentials. I have looked and found incorrect message content ex: GeoDirectory > Notifications > Listing published email
There are html tags<br /> <p>
tags used style text (see attachment). this is incorrect. That’s why it prints style in email.
Remove html tags from style text and also remove any blank space, new line from before opening and after closing tags.
Let us know how it goes.

May 29, 2018 at 12:16 pm #432582Ok i’ll give that a go thanks.
Any idea why that’s appeared?
May 29, 2018 at 12:20 pm #432583This reply has been marked as private.May 29, 2018 at 1:19 pm #432595The html content doesn’t include these tags at all, it’s somehow being added in afterwards.
I’ve checked and checked I can find these <p> or <br /> until after the email is sent
May 29, 2018 at 1:25 pm #432598I’ve “minified” the html and it’s no longer being picked up. Looks like something is picking up the new line’s as BR.
May not be GeoDirectory, but it’s always safer to report a bug 🙂
