What does the option “Allow user to choose own password” actually do? Because When I set that option to “No”, I can still see the fields “choose password” when I try to register a new user.

Does GD have it’s own login page?
I use buddypress and with GD buddypress integrations I’ve checket the checkbox “Use BuddyPress registration form”.

Does GD use a page for the registration just like it uses gd-login? Because if it does, then I can’t find that page. I only have a registration page for buddypress.

If you are Buddypress registration, then the GD registration options are obsolete.
If you turn off BP registration, you will see that gd-login gets a GD registration option too.

oh, yes, true, gd-login is the registration page aswell as the login page.

Because you have the option to choose “Use BuddyPress registration form”, will there be any actual difference for the members when they register if they use just gd-login or buddypress login?

Buddypress requires a username, GD does not.
With BP you can ask additional things too, and BP’s profile page allows for avatars etc.
So if using BP, BP registration is recommended.
