translating for English is the same process as for other languages. https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translate-core/

#2 There isn’t an option for that, and it would be a customization if you want to catch them before output. It might be possible with custom CSS. Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

I hid the main categories through css (nth-child) but it’s a crutch..
