    Hi,

I’m currently working on a site where there is a requirement for more analytics data than what the Google Analytics add-on currently shows.

The site I’m working, requires membership for anyone who wants to view a listing. I’m using the S2Member plugin for the membership. Potential paid listing owners indicate that they would like to see analytics data about who is visiting their profile, which geographic area they are from (state, city), and which URL the visitor arrived from. They feel that could be helpful for generating sales leads and identifying products to focus their attention on. In other words, they want to see it as a business tool, and not only an “advertising” tool.

As far as I know, the current version of the GA add-on does not show that. Am I right? If so are there any plans to add that? If not, do you perhaps know of a plugin or 3rd party service that could do something like that?

Our goal is to be able to provide these listing owners with a monthly report showing all this stuff.

Thanks to all of you for creating WP Geodirectory. I love working with it.

    Cheers,
    John Els

    Hello,

the current addon provides the recent visitor counts.

Most of the additional data you mention is avaiable via well documented API, so, conceivably it could be fetched.

I will flag your question for the developers about the roadmap for the addon.

Thanks, Alex. I think from a business point of view, it would be great if you guys could expand the Google Analytics add-on to show more data that listing owners can use for their own business use. In turn, it could become a great feature for directory owners when marketing their directories to potential listing owners. This could then put WP Geodirectory a step ahead of competitors in the directory software market. So, everyone could gain from doing it.

Please pass this on to Stiofan and the guys determining development priorities.

I would second all that John as said – plus making the analytics selectable within the pricing manager at a very minimum – Perspective listers are always curious to see who is viewing their listing, so to be able to remove the option from base packages and add into the chargeable packages would certainly help tempt listers to upgrade.

@paul – Analytics is currently a feature of price packages; it can be hidden or shared per package, for both V1 and V2.
