I see from your CSV that there are already IDs in there, maybe you are importing from another site? To import NEW listings/categories remove the IDs, if you want to update categories in bulk via CSV you would include IDs (from an export from the same site).

Let me know if you have any issues.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

Yes, I am trying to migrate from another plugin. Categories must have the IDs from the CSV otherwise when I import the listings they won’t match.

    Thanks for your support.

The importer is not designed to work that way (we are in the process of building a converter, what platform are u migrating from?)

    Either you:
    1. Manually create he cats in the DB with those exact IDs and then use the importer to update them with the correct info.
    2. Import them fresh and then do a search and replace for the now/old ids on the listing category columns.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

Any chance you can submit an update that would allow us to maintain the IDs? That goes for Listings, Categories, Media and Location. Imagine the monumental task of having to match all these new IDs, and how easy would everything be if we can just import while preserving them.

The WP functions don’t work that way, they are not designed to insert specific IDs they are simply designed to auto increment when adding a new item. This is not something i intend to add to the importer. We are however currently building a converter addon that is specifically designed for what you are doing, but it is still some time off, we are currently focusing on another platform but we intend to make it work with any in the future.

We have a beta version of WP ALL Import addon if you have ever worked with that?

If not just let me know some of the issues you are facing and i will give my best advice.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan
