I just added a listing via my phone. I wasn’t signed in when I created it. I have it set so that the user can join as they’re adding a listing. After I added the listing my user account was setup and the listing but they aren’t linked together.
Some thing happened with my friend when he tried from his phone.
I tried on my computer and the same thing happened.

and there’s no authors accept for the the listing the admin created.
January 13, 2019 at 11:37 pm #463069See all the users and only one listing referenced. Yet, there’s multiple listings.
January 14, 2019 at 4:15 am #463095With the inline “add listing without signing in” form that is correct, the author is not linked and the user is created silently.
When I test it the listing is there, though.
January 15, 2019 at 1:42 am #463239Thanks Alex for looking into this,
Are you saying that this is supposed to work this way in that they are adding a listing and registering simultaneously but they are not the author of the listing? If so then I probably won’t be using that feature. I thought it would be cool for people to register and create a listing all at once on the same form but I didn’t I think it would be a situation where the offer was linked.
I understand that it worked for you where the listing was created but for some reason his listing disappeared. I know the listing was there because I saw it on the front end. When he suddenly couldn’t find it I look to see if it was in the trash and it wasn’t even in the trash. I deleted a listing from the front end to see if it would go in the trash to make sure that at least works and it did go in the trash. So he’s listening essentially vanished.
If I pursue this particular site I will probably just go ahead and make it so users register separately like they’ve always done. I was just leaving this here for you guys to test for now.
January 15, 2019 at 9:33 am #463282When the user is not already logged in the “Is Claimed” field is not visible. It is that field that connects the User to the Listing.
I can’t recreate the issue with the deleted listings.
I will flag this for the developers to let us know if they have plans about this, but, for now the “Allow not logged in users to post from the frontend” creates users silently.
January 15, 2019 at 1:06 pm #463324Ah, that makes sense accept for entering the email address and name during the process and not being clear on the front end that the listing will need to be claimed later. I was excited about this because I thought it was going to save the user from having to register separately first.
It would be cool if when “Allow not logged in users to post from the frontend” is ticked they could create a password also and listing at the same time and they are the author of that listing. And then because they’re already signed in if they go to add another listing those fields were gone.
I didn’t have claim listing plugin installed so I guess “Allow not logged in users to post from the frontend” wouldn’t have worked without it.
January 15, 2019 at 3:58 pm #463364Hi Jeff,
This was a bug with payment manager (thanks for reporting), i have fixed it in core and it will be in the next release. (hopefully tomorrow).
I have also set the author posts to show non published posts.
Thanks,
Stiofan
