Hi all,
John completed the Avada Child theme, members can download it from the download area as usual.
You can see a demo here: http://dropct.com/avada/
Free users can purchase it on Theme Tailors here: http://geodirectory.themetailors.com/tt/portfolio/avada-child-theme-for-gd/
Before installing this child theme, make sure to update GeoDirectory core plugin to version 1.1.6 that we released today.
Thank you!
The Team
July 11, 2014 at 8:17 am #8161Hi, I switched from std Avada Child Theme to John’s new Avada Child after installing GeoDirectory 1.1.6 all seems fine so far other than the map not showing on my location page. http://2014.love-weymouth.co.uk/location/
If I set GD to use GD page as home page the map still doesn’t show.
When switching back to standard Avada Child Theme all seems fine
I will private admin user and password would it be possible please for someone to take a look at this ?
Cheers
Andy
July 11, 2014 at 8:20 am #8162This reply has been marked as private.July 11, 2014 at 10:15 am #8166I have the same problem of @getawaydigital. I set GD to use GD page as home page but the map doesn’t show. See below:
http://onesahost.it/rivisondoliIf you click on the link: http://dropct.com/avada/location, that is the @paolo example link + /location, the map doesn’t show again. What’s the fix?
Thanks
July 11, 2014 at 2:50 pm #8190With WP reading settings set to “Your latest posts” and GD set to “Set geodirectory home page as your home” you should be seeing the map on your homepage.
To see a map on listings pages, you should drag the listings map widget into the GD Listing Top section. Is this what you wanted to know, or did i misunderstand the problem?
July 11, 2014 at 4:03 pm #8194Hi, the “Send Enquiry” and “Send To Friend” links are not working on your demo site.
July 11, 2014 at 4:07 pm #8195Hi, is it possible to make the style of Name/Email/Website boxes in the “Leave A Comment/Reply” section on your demo site at
http://dropct.com/avada/places/united-states/pennsylvania/philadelphia/attractions/rittenhouse-square/#reviews
to look like on the Avada demo site like below?
http://theme-fusion.com/avada/praesent-et-urna-turpis-sadips/July 11, 2014 at 4:16 pm #8197Is it possible somehow to make a regular search result page to be formatted in two columns:
http://theme-fusion.com/avada/?s=Quisque
and not one column with huge photos:
http://dropct.com/avada/?s=pubJuly 11, 2014 at 4:50 pm #8201If we’re subscribers to GeoDirectory, do we then get full access to the Aveda theme? i.e., do I need to purchase the Aveda theme in addition to the WP GeoDirectory subscription?
July 11, 2014 at 4:57 pm #8203@semperteneo, being a child theme obviously yes… You need to buy the main theme from the original developer.
Thx
July 11, 2014 at 5:24 pm #8205@pix3x That is using the Avada search results rather than the wpgeo search. You can change the layout of that using the options panel in Avada. Try changing it to “Grid”.
July 11, 2014 at 5:59 pm #8215Hi John.
I think there is a problem. You can take a look at the links below?
This is true both in the wide mode and the boxed mode? Look at the menu and the distance of the logo from the left or the attività from the right.
Even the search area below the map is not configured correctly.July 11, 2014 at 6:25 pm #8219Great job with the Avada child theme guys! This is very helpful. I am having an issue with it that is not an error: See attached image, the right sidebar width is smaller than all other versions of GD and my design is based on the wider dimension. This shot of your demo illustrates it, see the difference between the map width and the sidebar width. I realize that I can change the width of the map in the widget but I don’t want that, I want to make the sidebar wider. I looked at the child stylesheet but I don’t see how to to change it. I also tried changing the widths in Geodirectory > Design > Homepage Layout Settings but that doesn’t seem to do anything at all. Can someone point me in the right direction?
July 11, 2014 at 6:56 pm #8227@onesa – please add the following to your style.css
.layout-boxed-mode #wrapper { width: 1200px; }
July 11, 2014 at 7:00 pm #8228@sfamilia The width of the content & sidebar areas is declared in the theme options panel under the “Sidebar” section
