March 15, 2017 at 1:59 am #367368So my WP Admin side went crazy and now the left tool bar is blank and the main admins screen shows a geotheme advertisement. Do I need to update my geotheme? If so where is the update and how do I update? Or is it something else? March 15, 2017 at 5:38 am #367393Hi Bart, The latest version of Geotheme remains at 3.7.1 https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/split-split-geotheme-3-7-1-download/#post-351999 and I’d suggest that you start converting your Website to GD in order to continue receiving updates https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/geotheme-to-geodirectory-conversion-tutorial/ Thanks! March 15, 2017 at 10:00 am #367416Hi,
this has happened to me too. I have a working front end GeoTheme site at http://www.SevenoaksDirectory.com and plan, at some stage, to convert to GeoDirectory. However, when I try to login in wp-admin I get a framed version of wpGeoDirectory website .. please see attached.
No function can be performed in wp-admin, not even standard WordPress ones.
Is it possibly that the GeoTheme code was doing a test ‘home’ access to check license or whatever and that url is no longer active and is simply re-directing to wpgeodirectory.com ?
Can this be fixed asap please?
 Many thanks
JohnHMarch 15, 2017 at 10:51 am #367422Hi there, Please provide both WP temp admin and FTP access so that we could check on this? You can post the details here using the private reply option below. Thanks! March 15, 2017 at 11:00 am #367423This reply has been marked as private.March 15, 2017 at 5:36 pm #367522Hi, GeoTheme is no longer supported. To re-gain access to your dashboard, via FTP, you can look for this line require_once(TEMPLATEPATH . '/update.php');in functions.php and remove it. Once that done it’ll work again as expected. Thanks March 15, 2017 at 7:28 pm #367550Hi Paolo, we know that GeoTheme is no longer supported, but no reason to brake our WordPress installs which are live and running. I’m still using GeoTheme 3.3.0 for my project spadirectory.co.za. I’m satisfied with it’s performance and don’t want to be forced into updates to GeoDirectory with this website. Unfortunately I cannot find: require_once(TEMPLATEPATH . '/update.php');in functions.php Could you kindly please specify? Thanks March 15, 2017 at 7:31 pm #367552Please provide a link FTP and admin credentials in a private reply and we will fix it for you. It wasn’t our intention to break the the dashboard, we simply removed the file that allowed for automatic updates on our side without considering the possible consequence. We are here to help fix it… Thanks March 15, 2017 at 7:34 pm #367554Alternatively you could try editing the file update.php and change the first line from <?phpto <?php return;Stiofan March 15, 2017 at 9:21 pm #367578Is there a reason you don’t simply put the file back as it was your end to save each of your customers affected by this making changes to your code?
I’m not trying to make a point other than it seems the most simple solution for everyone.
JohnHMarch 15, 2017 at 9:23 pm #367581Hi, the file wouldn’t be not enough, we would have to re-install everything. It’s much easier doing what Stiofan suggested. Thanks March 15, 2017 at 9:34 pm #367583For some reason my GeoTheme 3.3.0 and 3.3.9 themes do not have an update.php file. Where is it suppose to be located? March 15, 2017 at 9:38 pm #367586Please provide a link and admin credentials and we will fix it for you. Thanks March 15, 2017 at 9:45 pm #367590Hi Paolo / Stiofan,
could you please fix http://www.SevenoaksDirectory.com too (login details above)
I have tried editing update.php as Stiofan suggested and then removed remaining code in the file as the edit didn’t work for me and still getting wpGeoDirectory framed.
 Thanks
JohnHMarch 15, 2017 at 9:45 pm #367591Hi Paolo, I’m not really keen in doing that. Will need to comprehend where the error originates from. I have development installs that will need to be fixed as well. I hope you understand and can provide a proper bug fix. Thanks!
