I have searched the forum to solve this one – but I can’t seem to find anyone with the same issue.
On listing detail pages in the Map tab the map is greyyed out / blank until you hit refresh. This is is Firefox and Safari.
Map appears fine in all other places.
March 6, 2018 at 9:26 pm #420569Hello!
I think it has something to do with the DOM error in the console. When the page first loads in Chrome the map is visible, then it looks like it zooms to highest zoom and then the buttons go haywire.
DOM error
cb=gapi.loaded_0:164 Failed to execute 'postMessage' on 'DOMWindow': The target origin provided ('https://accounts.google.com') does not match the recipient window's origin ('http://babdev.ln1.function44.com').
Let us know what you find when you look into that.
March 7, 2018 at 8:38 am #420629Thanks, not 100% sure what I am doing,
I have been in to the api settings and added http://babdev.ln1.function44.com and *.http://babdev.ln1.function44.com/* but this doesn’t seem to have made a difference.
Am I missing something obvious, I feel like I am missing something really simple.
I can’t see where I would change the zoom setting for those maps and all other maps work fine.
March 7, 2018 at 11:36 pm #420697I do not think it is a Google Maps issue, it is related to the error mentioned above. It looked like it was related to the social login, using a different API.
Did you view the error in the console?
March 12, 2018 at 4:50 pm #421234If I am looking in the right place I have:
1)
Failed to execute ‘postMessage’ on ‘DOMWindow’: The target origin provided (‘https://accounts.google.com’) does not match the recipient window’s origin (‘http://babdev.ln1.function44.com’).2)
Error in response to storage.get: SecurityError: Blocked a frame with origin “http://babdev.ln1.function44.com” from accessing a cross-origin frame. It makes no sense to me. I can’t think of what is clashing. I have unlinked Analytics from the GD backend. There is no social login on the site that I am aware of.
I am at a lose, I keep looking at it and I just can’t work it out. To make it worse, when you do open the console window or inspect code window the map shows.
Any suggestions? All the other maps on the site are fine apart from the map in the tab.
March 13, 2018 at 10:01 am #421305At this time when I hard refresh the site detail page link you provided in Chrome I do not see the error and the map loads fine.
March 13, 2018 at 10:44 am #421321Yes, that’s correct. Every time I have refreshed it loads. But if you then go on to another listing the same issue occurs until you hit refresh.
If you then try and move the map in the tab around you are then faced with a grey map again.
If you navigate between the listings with the previous and next buttons you will hopefully be able to recreate the issue.
March 13, 2018 at 10:53 am #421326Hello,
yes, when I use previous and next, and then the listing loads, then click on the tab, it is only partially loading the map.
Please reply with site admin details as well as FTP and we will take a closer look.
Thanks

March 14, 2018 at 12:31 pm #421429My guess is it is some funky CSS in a plugin or theme.
Can you try disabling plugins and retesting? or maybe try switching theme and retesting.
The map works when the browser window is resized until its zoomed.Stiofan
March 20, 2018 at 11:20 am #422251All sorted thanks after quite some digging, it was a setting to ‘Use loading animation image’ that needed disabling.
Thanks for checking it out for us.
