    Good Day

I am testing your solution for a client who if we have a successful test will buy the product. For the test to be successful we need to import a large amount of listings and test performance.

I have spent alot of time formatting the csv to follow the same pattern as the demo csv btu keep getting errors and the error message is so general it gives no clues to what could be incorrect. I have only tested a very small sample of the data as well.

How can I pinpoint exactly what the importer is rejecting?

I can share a link to the CSV privately if needed

    Hi Nur,

Thanks for reaching us. Before you import a CSV file, did you export a sample CSV from GD following the guide here? https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/#export . Then you just have to follow the sample CSV and replace the details with yours. Also, feel free to attach your CSV file here so that we could check on it. You can use the private reply option below.

    Thanks!

    Hi Nur,

Thanks for your reply. Just inspected your CSV file and I noticed that you’re trying to insert multiple cities, countries and regions. You need to have the “Location Manager Addon” installed for that. https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/location-manager/

    Thanks!

    Good Day,

my apologies I realize now that the single city I had been trying to import was different to the default city set in the plugin. I’ve finally succeeded to import.

I think if your plugin gave clearer error messages people would get through the troubleshooting way faster and you’d end up with way less support tickets.

    Good Day

After successfully importing a very small sample, my client purchased a subscription to the full package and I’ve installed the location manager. On attempting to import a batch of listings I get the same errors as before.

I’m assuming now that I need to either manually, or through a csv import locations before I can import listings to those locations. I do not have the locations data except in the listings file I want to batch import.

    What are my options?

    Hello,

be sure to enable the feature first at

    GD > Multilocations > Enable Multi countries/regions/cities

Also be sure to adjust your URL settings to include the full location, and then resave WP > Permalinks
